Fees and targeting

Can I charge a fixed amount or percentage?

Yes. A fixed fee adds the amount you enter. A percentage product fee is based on the matching product price, while a percentage order fee is based on the cart subtotal. See Fixed fees and percentage fees.

Can I target products, variants, or collections?

Product fees can target all products, selected products or variants, or selected collections. Order fees apply to the whole cart. See Product targeting.

Can I use more than one fee?

Yes. If several active fees match, FeeBee adds all of them.

Can customers remove a required fee?

No. The fee remains connected to the product or order it belongs to.

Can I show a fee before the customer adds the product to the cart?

Yes. Add a FeeBee block to the product template. See Product-page fee notices.

Discounts and currencies

Do fees work with discounts?

Yes. Product discounts also reduce product fees using Bundle with product. Product fees using Bundle with fees and order fees are not reduced by normal product discounts. See Taxes and discounts.

Can discounts generated by Klaviyo or another app exclude fees?

Not automatically. FeeBee can support some discount codes created by Klaviyo. Contact support so we can check your setup.

Do fees work in different currencies?

Yes. Shopify converts fixed fees into the active currency. Percentage fees use the current product value or cart subtotal. See Markets and currencies.

Sales channels and checkout

Do fees work in Shopify POS?

Yes. Product fees using Bundle with product are included with the product. Product fees using Bundle with fees and order fees are added through the POS Fees tile. See Shopify POS setup.

Can I charge a fee only for credit card or PayPal payments?

No. FeeBee adds the fee before the customer selects a payment method. It cannot add a fee based on credit card, PayPal, cash on delivery, or another payment option.

Are Shop Pay and the Shop app supported?

Shop Pay is supported when checkout starts from the Online Store. Purchases made directly in the Shop app are not supported.

Can I target a country or state?

FeeBee lets you select Shopify Markets, not individual countries. To charge a fee in one country, place that country in its own Market and select the Market in FeeBee. State-level targeting is not supported.

Do fees work in draft orders?

Product fees using Bundle with product are included automatically. For product fees using Bundle with fees and for order fees, add FeeBee’s shared Fees product. FeeBee then adds the applicable charges to the draft order automatically. See Draft orders and accelerated checkout.

Compatibility

Do fees work with subscriptions or gift card products?

FeeBee does not add fees to subscription purchases, recurring subscription orders, or Shopify gift card products. A one-time purchase of the same product can still receive a fee. Customers can also use a gift card balance to pay for other products with fees.

Which Shopify plans support FeeBee?

FeeBee works on all Shopify plans. Shopify Plus is not required.
