Choose how product fees appear at checkout
Product fees can appear with the product they belong to or separately under a shared Fees item. Choose between these options under Type of Fee when creating or editing a product fee.
Bundle with product
Choose Bundle with product for most product fees, such as bottle deposits or recycling fees. Checkout keeps the fee with its product and shows their combined price.
Products with personalization, uploads, booking details, or other custom fields need additional setup so FeeBee can keep those details.

Choose Bundle with fees when customers should see the fee separately. FeeBee groups every fee using this option under one shared Fees item.
Customize the Fees item
For fees shown separately, FeeBee uses a shared Shopify product called Fees. All product fees set to Bundle with fees and all order fees are grouped beneath it in the cart and checkout.
The shared Fees product is only used to display the group. It is not added to completed orders. Completed orders contain the individual fees with the names you set in FeeBee.
You can change its title or add an image to match your store:
- In FeeBee, open Settings.
- Under Parent Fee Product, select Edit product.
- Change the product title or add an image in Shopify, then save.
How discounts work with each option
Normal product discounts reduce the combined price when you use Bundle with product. With Bundle with fees, the separate fee is not reduced.
If you want to keep a fee bundled with its product without discounting the fee, use FeeBee’s Discount Ignoring Fees discount type. It applies a percentage discount to the product while leaving the fee unchanged.
