Create a product fee

A product fee adds a charge to each matching item. For example, two bottles with a €0.25 deposit receive €0.50 in fees.

In FeeBee, select Create Fee, then Create product fee.

1. Set the name and amount

Use a name customers will understand, such as Bottle deposit or Recycling fee.

  • Fixed Amount charges the same amount for each matching unit.
  • Percentage Amount calculates the fee from the value of each matching product.

Enter the amount and choose whether Shopify should charge tax on the fee.

2. Choose which products receive the fee

Under Apply to, choose one option:

  • All Products applies the fee across your catalog.
  • Specific Products lets you choose products or individual variants.
  • Specific Collections applies the fee to products in the selected collections.

3. Choose how the fee appears at checkout

Under Type of Fee, choose:

  • Bundle with product to include the fee with the matching product.
  • Bundle with fees to show the product and fee separately.

4. Limit the fee if needed

FeeBee can limit the fee to selected Markets or customers with specific Shopify tags.

To apply the fee in every Market, leave Enable for all Markets selected. Otherwise, choose the Markets that need it.

5. Save and test

Select Save Fee, then check:

  1. A matching product receives the correct fee.
  2. Increasing its quantity increases the fee.
  3. A non-matching product does not receive the fee.
  4. The name and amount are correct at checkout.
