Create an order fee

An order fee adds one charge to the cart, such as a handling fee or small-order fee. It is charged once even when the customer adds more products.

In FeeBee, select Create Fee, then Create order fee.

1. Set the name and amount

Use a name customers will understand, such as Handling fee or Small-order fee.

  • Fixed Amount charges the same amount once for the cart.
  • Percentage Amount calculates one fee from the cart subtotal before discounts.

Enter the amount and choose whether Shopify should charge tax on the fee.

2. Limit the fee if needed

Order fees apply to the cart as a whole. They cannot target individual products or collections.

FeeBee can limit the fee to selected Markets or customers with specific Shopify tags.

To apply the fee in every Market, leave Enable for all Markets selected. Otherwise, choose the Markets that need it.

To include or exclude particular customers, add a condition using their Shopify customer tag.

3. Save and test

Select Save Fee, then check:

  1. Add a product to cart and check that one fee appears.
  2. Add another product and check that only one order fee appears.
  3. If the fee is percentage-based, change the cart subtotal and check the new amount.
  4. Continue to checkout and check the fee name and amount.
